Will Lutheran Service Book be available for individuals to purchase?

Most definitely. The hymnal is packed with resources that are useful not only for corporate worship, but also for individual and family use. Many resources in LSB are designed for one’s personal devotion. There are brief orders for morning, noon, early evening, and bedtime devotions that are ideal for such use. There is a daily lectionary that provides a plan for reading a good portion of the Bible every year. The Small Catechism is included, as is a section of nearly 100 prayers on a wide range of topics.

While the pew edition of Lutheran Service Book is perfectly suited for individual use, Concordia Publishing House has also published a “personal” edition. This edition, slightly smaller in size, with a bonded leather cover and gilded edges, replicates the contents of the pew edition. This product also serves as the gift edition of LSB and makes an ideal gift for Pastors, teachers, and confirmands.
